Description
1- Coordinates formal bids and Request for Proposals (RFPs). Reviews and assists in development of specifications and terms, schedules opening dates, arranges advertising and maintains files. Maintains and edits standard forms used in bid/RFP specifications. Responds to inquiries concerning criteria for contract award decisions.
2- Coordinates procurement of materials and services. Reviews or prepares purchase orders and requisitions. Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories.
3- Develops/updates procurement policies and procedures. Writes and composes procedures for use by different company\’s departments.
4- Writes and composes reports documenting procurement decisions. Prepares justification for contract awards or vendor selection.
5- Maintains contract files. Reviews contracts to evaluate overall revisions, price and past performance of each contract prior to bid or renewal. approves price increases provided for in contracts and makes changes as necessary and appropriate.
6- Develop local and international suppliers with ability to negotiate and create credit terms with theses suppliers.
7- Follow up on material delivery until delivered to the warehouse
